Azure Bernese Mountain Dog's goal is to produce top quality Bernese Mountain Dogs that best represent the breed standard.

We concentrate on health, temperament, and type. Before breeding, all of our dogs receive health screenings, which include:

• Hip and elbow x-rays evaluated through OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals)
• Eyes evaluated through CERF (Canine Eye Registry Foundation)
• Heart check
• Thyroid testing
• Type I von Willebrand's Disease
• We actively participate in Berner Garde Foundation .

All of our personally owned Berners have been in the show ring, several with great success. Our foundation bitch, Evie, attained her AKC Championship title before being bred.

We're extremely selective in our breedings and plan each one very carefully. Puppies are evaluated when they are just a few week old and classified as either show potential or pet quality. At eight weeks of age the final classification decision is made, and puppies are placed in their new homes.

Most puppies are placed with loving families who simply want a Bernese Mountain Dog as their pet! All of our puppy placements are made with the idea of "family first"!
